The Open University of China (OUC) organised a series of diverse and widely-reaching promotional and educational activities themed "A Decade of Deepening National Security Education" for 2025 National Security Education Day.

The university has launched "OUC Open Lectures ∙ National Security Education Open Course,” on the Smart Education of China ∙ Lifelong Education Platform offering free access to high-quality learning resources for college students nationwide and the general public, which has attracted over 1.7906 million views by 21 April.

In collaboration with "China Media Group Mobile," OUC has also broadcast the aforementioned live lectures on the Smart Education of China ∙ Lifelong Education Platform, attracting 560,000 viewers nationwide. Following the livestream, various departments and colleges conducted themed class meetings, discussions, and post-viewing exchanges. Some students also wrote their reflections, further enhancing learning outcomes.

The headquarters, departments, and colleges of OUC have also launched various related security education activities. During the event, students participated in the "National College Students' National Security Knowledge Quiz," which is designed to deepen their understanding of national security laws and regulations. The event saw widespread participation, reflecting students’ strong interest in learning.

Through these activities on National Security Education Day, the OUC faculty and students have gained a profound understanding of the concept and significance of the overall national security perspective. Also, these activities have significantly enhanced their ability to counter various national security risks, further cultivating and strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission among the populace to proactively participate in national security efforts.
